君君, 臣臣, 父父, 子子(군군, 신신, 부부, 자자)

《論語 顔淵》 齊景公問政於孔子。孔子對曰： "君君，臣臣，父父，子子。" 公曰： "善哉！信如君不君，臣不臣，父不父，子不子，雖有粟，吾得而食諸？"
《논어 안연》 제경공문정어공자。공자대왈： "군군，신신，부부，자자。" 공왈： "선재！신여군불군，신불신，부불부，자불자，수유속，오득이식저？"
The duke Ching, of Ch'î, asked Confucius about government. Confucius replied, "There is government, when the prince is prince, and the minister is minister; when the father is father, and the son is son." "Good!" said the duke; "if, indeed, the prince be not prince, the not minister, the father not father, and the son not son, although I have my revenue, can I enjoy it?"
제경공이 공자에게 바른 정치에 대하여 묻는다. 공자가 대답하여 이른다: "임금은 임금다워야 하고, 신하는 신하다워야 하고, 아버지는 아버지다워야 하고, 아들은 아들다워야 한다." 제경공이 이른다: "옳은 말씀이오! 임금이 임금답지 못하고 신하가 신하답지 못하고 아버지가 아버지답지 못하고 아들이 아들답지 못하다면 비록 식량이 넉넉하다 할지라도 어찌 먹고 배부를 수 있으리오?"
